Eulogies Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt prepared to share openly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has gone by that I can finally express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced spending more time together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the production, commenting that he cannot recall "any day without laughter".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Values that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a distinct piece, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles judge agreed to bar the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A legal directive placed a restriction on the files to restrict the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of foul play, with a public database citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the deaths, public figures shared divergent responses.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering controversial remarks that were met with immediate backlash by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the critics last week. Speaking on his program, Rogan labeled the remarks as "shocking" and implied they showed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an adviser could have stepped in when the choice to weigh in on the passing was made.
