The families of teenagers lost after a devastating inferno at a bar in a Switzerland's winter destination are facing an painful period of uncertainty for confirmed information and requesting any details about their loved ones via social media.

The inferno engulfed the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of January 1st. Confirmed footage depict the ceiling igniting as bottles with sparklers are held aloft.

Officials have stated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the those who perished of the tragedy, which killed four dozen individuals and injured another 119. Authorities said on Friday that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with work still underway to name the other six.

In the meantime, relatives have been using the internet to appeal for information about their loved ones who were present at the venue that evening.

Desperate Searches for the Missing

The whereabouts of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are not yet determined, according to an heartfelt request from his mother.

The resident of a town near Lausanne, explained to a publication that she had returned to the city to check whether he was in the medical facility, while his other parent did the equivalent search in Bern, but did not locate him.

"It feels like a terrible dream, a horror. The options are finding my son in the morgue, or I find him in intensive care. Words cannot describe it," she said.

She continued that some of his companions had been found with injuries covering a significant portion of their bodies. "It's unspeakable; they endured an absolute nightmare."

The Italian government has indicated that six of its young people are still unaccounted for.

Among them is Emanuele Galeppini, a teenage sportsman, who hailed from Italy but now living in the UAE.

The Italian Golf Federation has stated that he is deceased, without mentioning the tragedy, honoring a "talented young man who represented passion and true sportsmanship."

His father, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An representative has clarified that a formal confirmation of his death is still pending.

Additional Cases

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also among the missing. His parent told reporters that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with friends and found himself at the venue.

"A close friend informed me they escaped after the fire erupted and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he couldn't see him anymore," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive piece of jewelry.

One of his educators commented, "He was known for his kindness and positive demeanor, combined with great maturity. Every time ask if get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives permanently in the country, was also at the bar on New Year's Eve, according to sources.

Her sibling has posted an appeal on social media, saying the relatives has had "no news" regarding the 15-year-old or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.

Consular authorities from her country of origin say they are closely watching the developments.
