Astronaut Reveals Mental Health Struggle After Wave of Online Abuse Following Journey

A pioneering space traveler has opened up regarding her battle with depression after being subjected to a massive wave of online abuse in the aftermath of a pioneering women-only spaceflight.

Amanda Nguyen – recognized as a researcher and activist – was part of the 11-minute suborbital flight earlier this year, which also carried well-known figures.

Her own goal of reaching space was put on hold after surviving a rape during her university years, leading to a protracted legal battle.

Now, eight months after reaching space, she has stated the heaviest sorrow is beginning to clear, and she expressed gratitude the followers whose support were her lifeline. “Your support rescued me,” she affirmed.
